Music Themed Cathedral Wedding

With both the bride and groom being singers and the Brides father having being involved with music at the Cathedral for many years this wedding was always going to be musical, but oh I was definately not ready for just how beautiful the music would be!

Despite the awe inspiring grandeur of Worcester Cathedral, Hannah and Tom managed to plan the most perfectly intimate day with a true close family feel that was so heart warming. From Hannah's dress that was lovingly made by her very clever Mother, Granny's tiara, help from friends and family to set up the gardens, a choir full of friends that had flown in from around the world as well as getting ready in the family home they had grown up in, it truly was a family affair.

Hannah had chosen a wonderful group of bridesmaids, from childhood friends to current work colleagues who have become friends and it was a real pleasure to spend the morning with them getting ready whilst they all helped each other with make up amongst the giggling!

Once everyone was ready it was a short journey over to the Cathedral - as soon as I walked in I could hear the choir practising and the hairs on the back of my neck went up. I have never heard a choir quite like it, before or since! I am not sure if it was the love that was poured into it as they were all friends or the music that Hannah's father had composed for the wedding, either way it is certainly something that will live with me forever.

The ceremony was conducted by a family friend, once again adding to the happiness and love in the room, and Hannah looked amazing as she walked the full length of the Cathedral aisle, which I am sure felt like the longest walk she had made!

The music theme continued as we exited the Cathedral the amazing jazz band could be heard starting up as the confetti was thrown and we headed into the gardens for a drinks reception in the sunshine.

Hannah and Tom chose to use the Diocese building for their reception, which once again was filled with amazing music from their evening band. Touches of eucalyptus added a beautiful and simple touch to their signs and details and their cake was kindly made by another friend, complete with roses made from sheet music.

As the drinks reception finished and the guests started to fill the reception room, I stole Hannah & Tom away for 5 minutes couples shots in the gardens. All the couple pictures below were taken in just those 5 minutes, and a further 5 minutes at sunset! You don't need to be away from your guests for hours to get some magical images for your memories!
