Stormy Woodland Styled Shoot - Worton Park

May 8, 2018

I was very excited to be approached by Delightful Venues to photograph and blog their recent collaboration styled shoot. The lovely Michelle at Delightful Venues is a preferred supplier for some of the areas most sought after venues and decided it would be good to see what other new and upcoming suppliers were out there, and what new ideas and products some more established suppliers were using for 2018. Working with some of the areas amazing local suppliers, as well as sourcing some elements from further afield, Delightful Venues successfully pulled together the most beautiful woodland bohemian theme, truly bringing the outdoors in!

They chose the wonderfully versatile Worton Park for this shoot, which not only includes the stunning Worton Hall but also a great choice of other areas for both indoor and outdoor pictures. Worton Hall is one of the biggest venues available locally, being able to seat up to 250 indoors for a wedding breakfast! Combined with the Grade II listed, 10 bedroom farmhouse as well as various other cottages available for guests staying over, it can also feel very intimate with private areas to be able to share a pre wedding dinner or a post wedding breakfast.

With the brief to update the ever popular woodland wedding away from what is now regularly seen log slices, Delightful Venues set about finding some interesting and unique suppliers, and they certainly didn't disappoint! Just look at these amazing handcrafted items - the beautiful headpiece and unique buttonhole from Hedgehunter really helped bring together the theme that is often difficult to convey into the bride and groom.

Teamed with the most stunning botanical, hand made jewellery from Lucy Sylvester. This jewellery is truly unique, and manages to be both simple and eye - catching, it certainly caught the eye of all the suppliers and models on the day.

The other supplier that really caught everyone's eye on the day was the amazing Bring the Game Over! This not only had the models and suppliers intrigued - but also anyone else that happened to pass by. This amazing idea brought to us by the lovely Richard, is a van that can turn up to any event with a full selection of retro games machines in the back. Such a great idea for entertainment, we literally struggled to tear our models away!

DDWES are a well known Cotswolds supplier of lighting, dancefloors, magic mirrors and draping but their  new statement product for 2018 is this stunning flower wall. Bang on trend, this fantastic backdrop is really versatile. Whether it be a backdrop for a cake table as we have done, for a top table backdrop or even just for a photo wall it really is great investment that could be utilised throughout the day. They also bought along a great magic mirror which provided some great light relief.
