A Colourful Celebration of Love at Silchester Farm

Silchester Farm in Hampshire was the setting for a beautiful and vibrant celebration of love when James and Kathy exchanged vows. I had the privilege of joining them on their special day, where I got to witness first-hand the bright colors that filled their wedding venue. From bouquets, floral displays, and candles to hair and makeup, dinner, and entertainment – every element came together perfectly to create an unforgettable day.

Getting Ready

Hair and makeup were provided by A Finishing Touch UK, adding even more beauty to an already gorgeous couple and the girls were in high spirits getting ready to their own 90's playlist in "The Woodshed" which is Silchester Farms designated dressing room.

The Wessex Flower Company was responsible for creating the stunningly vibrant bouquets and floral displays that really made the venue come alive with colour. They arranged flowers in milk churns throughout the Threshing Barn, where James and Kathy got married.

After the ceremony, the guests were able to use the "Hen House" bar and enjoy drinks on the patio - obviously after throwing that all-important confetti!

We had great fun taking the wedding party off for their photos - and how fabulous did those bright bouquets look against the sage dresses?!

The Cow Shed is a beautifully lit modern space – perfect for celebrating! Coloured taper candles along with the same vibrant florals set the scene ready for a fabulous celebration meal - complete with speeches that as always had everyone laughing and crying in equal measures.

Once dinner was finished, guests were treated to amazing entertainment from Ear Candy Oxford. This made for a truly magical evening of dancing and laughter that James and Kathy’s guests will never forget!

It’s clear that James and Kathy put a lot of thought into making sure their wedding day was both memorable and beautiful. From vibrant colors to delicious food and great entertainment – their special day was truly one-of-a-kind! It was an honor to join them at Silchester Farm as they celebrated their love surrounded by family and friends. Congratulations again to the happy couple!
